Hello friends and Neighbors
I greet you in the name of Love, Joy, and Peace. Although there has never been a time, not even in the so-called ‘good old days,’ when the world was at total peace and all bills were paid, we must take time for the fellowship of laughter. King Solomon, the wisest man in the Bible, tells us that there is
a time to weep, and a time to laugh. Solomon had experienced the three big W’s that all men seek…Wealth, Wine, and Women.
He had experienced all the pleasures the world had to offer. In the end, he called it all vanity. In his old age, Solomon recognized what was really valuable, love, joy, peace and laughter. To borrow the wisdom of King Solomon, I believe that next to serving God and closely behind loving your neighbor, it is valuable to enrich your life with books of knowledge written not only by scholars but also by common men of empirical wisdom. We owe it to ourselves to explore life in all its thunder but to never venture too far away from, and always return to, the source, which is God. As I travel my journey, I wish to introduce you to my books, poetry, comedy, and my other natural God-given abilities.
I am a man that has known homelessness, middle-class living, criminal lifestyle, imprisonment though free since 1990, alcoholism though clean and sober since 1984, raised four daughters as a single father though have two more children out of wedlock, two marriages plus five live-in relationships, deliverance, salvation, and an abiding influence of Godliness. I believe that God has given me something worth sharing. Though God didn’t bless me with the wisdom of King Solomon nor with a crumb of his wealth, as each of us, I am blessed by God with my own uniqueness. I plan to share my experiences in a serious didactic yet sometimes humorous manner through my poetry and books. You’re most welcome to join me, but only briefly, on my journey. After all, I am just passing through.
